We are a welcoming and friendly Christian community, worshipping and growing in our faith together. At St Luke’s we are passionate about living out our faith and values in the world in which we live.
We are committed to serving our local community through involvement in local projects such as Routes to Roots, The Food Bank, Hope in the Community and the Women's Refuge, and to supporting mission - we partner with eight missions around the world including members in Japan and Rwanda.
Our Pastoral Team offer pastoral care, prayer and a listening ear to all.
During the pandemic we have scaled back our services and activities, but are looking forward to resuming our normal pattern soon. We would recommend you check our Services page for our current schedule.
Our pre-Covid activities would look like this:-
On Sundays we hold a fairly traditional service at 9.00am, with a more contemporary service at 10.30am with groups for around 40 children and a creche. There is a small evening service most weeks which takes place at 6.30pm.
During the week around 10 Connect Groups meet, on Wednesdays we hold Morning Worship and Coffee Hour, Parents and Toddlers on Thursdays and Youth Connect on Friday evenings in our church hall. We also host many community activities throughout the year such as fayres and musical productions. We welcome enquiries for Baptisms, Weddings and Funerals.
As with other Church of England churches, we enjoy a seasonal rhythm to our worship throughout each year. Join us as we celebrate Advent, Christmas, Epiphany, Lent, Passiontide and Holy Week, Easter, the Trinity, All Saints, Rogationtide, Harvest Thanksgiving, and Memorial Sunday.
We are blessed to have a Church Hall a short distance away from the church. This is used by the church and community, and can be hired out for events.
All are welcome at St Luke’s, we would love you to meet you.
