We believe that God has shown Himself to us in creation, the Bible and through our own experience, but especially in Jesus Christ. We believe God loves each of us, that we can know Him personally. In trusting Him we become His children and find purpose, love and hope in all of life.
Our identity and purpose are found in Jesus and we want to share the wonderful Good News of God's love with others through the way we live as well as by what we say. Our beliefs and values lead us on to our purpose which is expressed in our mission.
We value character before competence and participation above spectatorship, seeking to serve and love as Jesus loves us and gave Himself for us. Our vision of what we should be and look like as a church, and the things we do (our shared life, programmes and plans) then flow out of our purpose. We are very aware that we are far from perfect and we need to receive and show love and forgiveness at all times.
We aim to be a community of whole-life disciples of Jesus Christ committed to worship, growth, fellowship and mission.
We aim to express our life as followers of Jesus in our daily life, giving priority to worship and prayer, growing in the likeness of God, sharing together and in serving and bringing the Good News of the Christian Faith to all.
